It kinda looks like you killed (hurt fatally) Ocelotte during the first fase, that's why Oceiros hold Ocelotte with both hands mumbling before smashing into the ground, as though you damaged Ocelotte, making him useless to his propose, what triggered Oceiros to give Ocelotte up... though he keeps crying, what makes me think that either Ocelotte was an illusion or wasn't at Oceiros' hands.

I think canonically, the blades could have messed him up Permanently. Freya is pretty rad, but there's no way she got PRIMORDIAL FIRE to agree to not ratio her kid
